Find your new home safely and quickly through Qasa! We want to create a safe and secure rental market for both tenants and landlords. By filling out your profile with detail, you can make a great first impression to the landlords and finding a new home can be even faster!
Below is a guide to how Qasa works for tenants. The guide includes following topics:
- Create a profile
- Contact the homeowner
- Optimise your search of a home
- Sign the rental agreement
- Our dedicated support is here to help you
Create a profile
Start by creating a profile. Your profile will be representing you, much like a profile on social media when you contact a homeowner. In your profile you will have the opportunity to write a bio, tell about your employment, and what preferences you have for your future home. Fill out your profile information fully, in order to maximise your chances with landlords. We also recommend verifying your ID, because that makes you look more credible to the landlords. When you are satisfied with your profile, you can also publish it in the Find tenant feature to increase your chances of getting a place for yourself.
Contact the homeowner
We have made contacting homeowners more safe than ever before.
This means that to get in touch with a landlord you do it by sending a message request through the ad. You can do it by clicking "Ota yhteyttä" in the listing. This is not binding and it's super simple. The landlord receives a notification regarding your message request. When you send a message request, it opens up a conversation between you and the landlord. In this conversation the landlord can see your profile, so it's important that you have filled it out carefully.
Now the landlord can either respond to your message or close the conversation. If they close the conversation, you will be notified of this, and will know that the landlord is not interested in making contact with you. You can also reject your message request or close the conversation completely. By doing that the landlord will be informed that you're no longer interested. If you change your mind about this decision later, you can simply send the landlord a new message in the same conversation.
When the landlord writes to you, we'll notify you of that as well.
Optimise your search of a home
Under the tab "Find tenant" you can publish your profile for the landlords to see.
Your profile will show the information you have on the profile tab. So the info you have filled in the Settings tab won't be shown. This includes for example your last name, contact info and social security number.
Now that your profile is published, landlords can match you with their listings. Next to your profile will show, how good of a match you are to their listing based on your profile. Now is just up to the landlords to make message requests for you. Remember to be active yourself and also look through the listings.
Sign the rental agreement
When you sign your rental agreement, we will check your credit. If you don't have any disruptions, we'll grant you renting without paying pre-rent. If you do have disruptions, you'll need to pay the pre-rent before moving in. All our invoices will be sent to you via e-mail and through Billecta. The pre-rent will be used to pay the final month's rent or any other rents that may have been unpaid.
In addition to the above and perhaps most importantly, we are always here to help if any problem arises, or just to answer questions. Just click here to contact us.
